Frequently asked questions

What sort of consumer analytics and insights can I get?

There is a lot of valuable data and insight to be gained, as the channel is completely digital. Shopping habits; engagement levels; the number of scans per day (or by the time of day);valuable geolocation data; product preferences; cross-sell opportunities; and more. Once the consumer has activated the UID (Unique Identifier) by scanning it, the brand owner is in control of the data associated with that UID. The brand owner gets the opportunity to know who the consumer is. Value-added content can be exposed based on the actual interests of the consumers themselves. And since in today’s world these interests often change, more traditional marketing can’t keep up in the same way.

How is metadata associated to the codes (UIDs)?

Kezzlers’ platform is very flexible and data can easily be attached to several objects. JSON schema is used by Kezzler to define property, but metadata is mainly tailored to our clients’ needs.

Who owns the data you collect?

The simple answer is the client, Kezzler acts only as the data processor regarding GDPR rules, and all data use and transfer is regulated through Data Processing Agreements (DPA’s). Kezzler simply collects the data and stores it on behalf of our client.

How is data collected?

Every single time a code (UID) is scanned through the supply chain, data will be sent to Kezzler’s platform related to the product. However, due to privacy laws, data collected on consumers will require their consent.
